The main objective
Business analyst is responsible to conduct research and analysis in order to come up with solutions to business problems and help to introduce these systems to clients, via in-depth investigation and gathering of technical and non-technical information. Once the issue is clearly understood, they outline detailed requirements for a solution and ensure the delivered solution meets those business requirements.
Tasks and duties
Discover, organize, and clarify business needs and review/produce specifications for change      
Define project requirements by identifying project scope of work and prioritize all function requirements and prepare/order sprints or milestones based on the client needs. 
Identifying issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts.      
Identify improvement opportunities (proactive and reactive)          
Communicate, translate, and simplify business requirements to ensure buy-in from all stakeholders       
Conduct business process modeling and prepare graphical representation such as workflow charts, use cases, wireframes, and other diagrams    
Identify ways to increase adoption and customer satisfaction          
Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders        
Work hand in hand with the product owner to create user stories, refine backlog and create work breakdown structure.      
Work with the testing and development team to ensure that they understand the specifications, and guarantee the stories were implemented as requirement. 
Provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process          
Conduct workshop, demo, training sessions and presentation, and creating user manuals.        
Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications, identifying problems; writing recommendations and improvements    
Run user acceptance testing (UAT) with clients for each release.          
Being able to mentor junior BAs              
Write Functional & Non-Functional Requirements.            
To be able to convert new ideas into suggested business models, depending on the currently existing market ideas or even new great ideas.    
Job requirements                
Education Level   B.Sc. in computer science, or equivalent
Experience Needed 4+ years' client-facing experience/ Solid experience in the software development life cycle and agile development methodology
Certificates Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) -- Mandatory/ PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) -- Optional
Effective stakeholder engagement: Business analysts are likely to deal with stakeholders at all levels of an organization right up to the CEO    
Critical and Analytical thinking: The ability to understand and analyze problems and find solutions      
Problem solving: The ability to think creatively and work collaboratively with teams to solve business challenges      
Decision making: The ability to make decisions around things such as requirement prioritization, scope, risks, assessing viability of solutions etc.    
Good listener & communicator: Requirement gathering is a key part of the role so the ability to ask the right questions and correctly understand the information received is essential
Documentation and writing skills: Business analysts will find themselves creating documents such as use cases and business requirement documents  
Confident presenter: The ability to present findings and recommendations to senior leaders and to manage stakeholder meetings    
Leadership skills: An interest in, and understanding of, project management techniques and computing systems.      
Active Learning -- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future.      
English & Arabic Language -- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English & Arabic language.
